Strolling through the streets of Rome in the evening brings the city to a new light as it emerges slowly after the sun sets; especially so if it is the height of the summer and finally there’s a breeze to walk around. Most of the tourists will be gone, you’ll have Rome to yourself and to your local guide.

On our evening walking tour of Rome, your guide will not only take you to some of the city’s top landmarks, but will also tell you secrets and legends of traditional Roman culture. This mixed with the entertainment and food samplings enjoyed along the way is sure to appeal to all of your senses.
You’ll start your tour in the heart of classical Rome with a walk down via dei Fori Imperiali. This famous street offers views of the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, both of which look spectacular under the night sky.
Your guide will then take you to the iconic Pantheon, which is over 2,000 years old. The next stop is Piazza Navona, where you will see the magnificent fountain by Gianlorenzo Bernini. You will then walk towards Piazza del Popolo, passing by and mingling with some of Rome’s street artists and painters.
You will finish the evening stroll off with two of Rome’s most famous landmarks; the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. Your guide will end the tour here point out spots for a typical bar where you can enjoy some wine. Wine tasting is included in the tour, as are all of the food samples that will be offered throughout the evening at the various cafés along the way.
The Spanish Steps sit at the base and Piazza Trinità dei Monti, which is dominated by the Trinità dei Monti church. Climbing up the 135 monumental steps is a must do Rome for any visitor.
The same is true for the Trevi Fountain, which is arguably even more spectacular in the evening than it is in daylight. It is also a very romantic place and great if you are on a honeymoon tour of Rome.
