Meeting points may vary depending on the tour and local logistics. You’ll receive a detailed confirmation with the exact location once your booking is complete.

Generally:
Private tours may begin at your hotel or apartment if it’s centrally located — we’ll confirm this with you in advance.
Small-group tours start at a central, easy-to-find location, shared with you at the time of booking.
Shore excursions always begin and end directly at your cruise dock for maximum convenience.

Absolutely.

Our tours are thoughtfully paced and led by experienced guides who regularly work with senior travelers. We welcome guests of all ages and are happy to adjust the pace as needed to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Each tour is different, and some sites have age restrictions or are better suited for older children. You’ll see specific age guidelines listed on the booking page for each tour. If you’re traveling with young children or using a stroller, certain routes or historical sites may not be easily accessible or engaging for them.

We’re happy to help you choose a family-friendly tour or suggest a private tour tailored to your needs and pace.

Private tours are fully personalized experiences just for you and your travel party. You’ll have your own guide, a flexible itinerary, and often the option to start at your hotel or apartment (depending on the location). It’s the most tailored and comfortable way to explore.

Small-group tours are shared with other like-minded travelers and follow a set itinerary. Group sizes are always limited to ensure a more personal experience, and you’ll meet at a designated central location.

Both options include skip-the-line tickets, expert local guides, and thoughtfully paced itineraries — the difference lies in how customized and exclusive you’d like your experience to be.

Tour sizes vary depending on the destination, the specific tour, and the requirements of the site being visited. We keep our group sizes small for a more personal experience, and you’ll find the maximum group size listed on the booking page for each tour.

For small-group tours, select your preferred date on the calendar of the tour page, choose the number of participants, and proceed to checkout. You’ll be redirected to our secure booking partner (FareHarbor), where your payment will be processed immediately via Stripe.

For private tours, please email us directly at business@walksineurope.com with your preferred dates, destination, and group size. Our team will respond promptly to tailor the experience and assist you with the booking process.

We also encourage you to review our cancellation policy before confirming your booking.

You can cancel your tour up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund.

We love animals, but unfortunately, pets are not allowed on our tours. Many of the historical sites and museums we visit have strict regulations, and we want to ensure a smooth experience for all guests.

We appreciate your understanding and recommend making arrangements in advance for your furry friends during the tour.

Yes. When visiting holy places such as churches, temples, and basilicas, modest dress is required out of respect for the sacred environment. This means clothing that covers shoulders and knees.

Visitors wearing sleeveless tops, shorts, or skirts above the knee may be denied entry at sites like St. Mark’s Basilica, the Florence Cathedral, and the Milan Duomo. Please dress appropriately to ensure you can fully enjoy your tour.

When visiting mosques, modest attire is required for all visitors.

  • Women must cover their hair, arms, and legs.

  • Men should wear long trousers; short-sleeved shirts are acceptable.

  • Shoes must be removed before entering — we recommend bringing a pair of socks for comfort.

Appropriate clothing is essential out of respect for religious customs and to ensure entry into these sacred spaces. Scarves and coverings are often available at the entrance, but bringing your own is always best.
