Fantastic! Our guide was energetic, fun, incredibly knowledgeable and managed our group very efficiently and effectively! We learned so many incredible details about these stunningly beautiful ancient buildings and the gorgeous, intricately painted and decorated interiors. Our Guide for our tour of The Doge's Palace & Saint Mark's Basilica on October 2, 2026 was beyond superb.  She knew her art, design and architectural history like a well-seasoned University Professor at a top rank school.  My husband is a life-long architect in Canada & The US who did part of his architectural history studies in Florence back in the early 1970s.  He was very impressed with our Guide and was also very appreciative of how she went the extra mile to make his visit at age 80 as accommodating as possible.  My own background and University studies in art history lead me to agree entirely; she could not have been more spot on in her more formal remarks or her many and very well informed side-remarks and answers to questions. I cannot commend her more enthusiastically.  If she is representative of the quality of 'Walks in Europe' and their many tours, I will gladly sign up for future explorations.

Both our guides - Hilary and Silvia - delivered an incredibly comprehensive accounting of the Jewish Ghetto in Venice.  The tour included access to two functioning synagogues. We used this tour to while visiting Doge Palace and St. Mark’s Basilica in Venice. It was amazing! Our guide was super informative and her stories brought the history alive. I learned substantially more than I would’ve self guided. I highly recommend this tour!
