WIE operates an online platform connecting local tour guides and travel providers with visitors seeking localized tourism services in specific destinations.

Tours Meeting Point Coordinator (On-Site)

ISTANBUL

Join the Walks In Europe team and play a crucial role in enhancing our customers’ guided walking tour experiences in Istanbul.

Responsibilities:

As a Meeting Point Coordinator, you will be our customers’ initial point of contact at the tour’s designated starting location. You are expected to: 

  • Arrive early: arrive at the meeting point before the tour commences.
  • Meet: our guide and make sure everyone has the most recent tour update
  • Welcome: our customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Check-In: utilize your smartphone to check in and mark off pre-registered participants as they arrive on our booking calendar. 
  • Communicate: stay in contact with our Customer Service if any participant fails to attend the tour.
  • Organize headsets: coordinate the distribution of headsets to customers, ensuring they receive their equipment before the tour begins.
  • Coordinate: late arrivals and inform Customer Service and the guide
  • Departure: once the guide starts the tour, you can leave but must return to the agreed ending point at the specified time.

Communication Process:

This is an opportunity for freelancers wanting to work on a flexible schedule. Due to the seasonality of the job, winter hours are much less busy compared with the high season months between 1 April – 31 October. You are expected to stay informed about upcoming tour schedules and sign up for assistance based on your availability. Detailed instructions, workflow specifics, and access to communication platforms will be provided.
In Istanbul, we are looking for coordinators who can be in Sultanahmet to help with the tours starting at 09:00 / 11:00 / 13:00 / 15:00
Each slot needs to be around 30 minutes.

Expectations:

We are looking for individuals who possess:

  • English Proficiency: both written and spoken communication skills.
  • German Proficiency: both written and spoken communication skills.
  • Time Management: excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Outdoor Enthusiasm: willingness to work outdoors.
  • Willingness: to solve problems and find solutions
  • Cultural Sensitivity: respect for diverse cultures is essential.
  • Adaptability: quick thinking and adaptability to handle unexpected situations.

Payment:

  • Payment will be processed every month. Specific payment terms and salary details will be discussed and agreed upon individually.
