When visiting holy places like churches, temples, and basilicas, it’s important to dress modestly out of respect for the sacred environment. This typically means wearing clothing that covers your shoulders and knees.
Individuals with sleeveless shirts and shorts or skirts above the knees are not allowed inside holy places such as St Mark’s Basilica, Florence Cathedral, or Milan Duomo. For this reason, please avoid clothing that is inappropriate for religious settings.
-
DRESS CODE FOR MOSQUES;
- When visiting the mosques, it’s required to cover your legs. Women should also cover their hair, arms, and legs.
- Upon entering the mosques, shoes are to be removed. Bringing a pair of socks is recommended.
